Transaction Labels

Transaction labels are used in Loan Performer to classify the types of transactions made. Loan Performer allows you to modify these labels in the available languages to suit your particular format.

How to modify the transaction labels

For you to modify a transaction labels you go to System/Configuration/Define Labels/Transaction labels. A screen like one below appears:

• Transaction: This column shows the transaction codes that are assigned to each of the transaction labels shown in the subsequent language columns, i.e., English, French, Spanish, Russian and Other. To modify the transaction labels just click on any of the language fields and overwrite the label with the new one that you want.

• Note that these labels will not automatically be translated into the other LPF languages. You have to do it by languages and that requires a person with proper command of the language whose transaction labels are to be changed or defined.

• Labels will be defined in the language that is easy for the Micro finance institution to understand or are used to e.g
  

• Opening balance to Starting Balance.
• Registration fees to Starting fees.
• Bills to Expenses.
• Receipts to cash sale slip.
• Manual booking to manual entries

This can be done in any of the reported LPF languages

Press the Save button to save the changes.

Note that there are some specific labels like Geographical Areas, Levels of Education, Languages, Name Titles, etc. that you can only change in the Support Files menu.

• Default: If you have changed any labels and want to revert, click on the Default button and all users labels will be displayed with their original values.

Click on the Save button to effect the changes and on the Close to exit
